The Gardener

The garden of Eden was a beautiful place

To run and play, in plenty of space

As God came to tell a bedtime story

The stars above, were lit by His glory

The weather was perfect with sun and breeze

That touched the tallest of beautful trees

Where colourful birds would dance and sing

To the written music of the Most High King

The lion and lamb lay down together

And it seemed like peace would last forever

Until Adam and Eve did not obey

What God, their Father, had to say

Things were spoilt and all seemed lost

Until Jesus, The Gardener, paid the cost

For all new plants, grown from seed

That God’s own garden would ever need.
