Six Stone Jars

By the side of the Sea of Galilee

This man called, ‘Now, come, follow me’

‘But he was from Nazareth’ they weakly said

‘What good could come?’, as He boldly led

Onto Cana they walked alongside

Doubts and wonderings they couldn’t hide

Their eyes yet covered by prison bars

Soon to be shaken by six stone jars

At the wedding when the wine ran out

The mother of Jesus gave Him a shout

To the servants, she said ‘Do as He says’

And the miracle comes, as each one obeys

From water to wine, darkness to light

Disciples now receiving a new insight

Revealed is His Glory, gained, their belief

Here is the Messiah, the captives release
