My Soul’s Inheritance

Before the harvest, when blossom is gone

And flower to grape has not yet come

There is a moment, when fruit can fail

If the right conditions do not prevail

I know that I’m grafted into The Vine

And I can feast, on all that’s divine

So every day I’m in earnest pursuit

Of all that will grow the Spirit’s fruit

Lord, You desire truth in the inward parts

So I’m crying out, “Come, take this heart”

To cleanse and heal and purify

Then set Your seal to sanctify

O, let the joy of my salvation now restart

As all of heaven’s riches You impart

That I may gain, through love and obedience

The fullness of Christ, my soul’s inheritance.
